2014, what does that mean to us? 2014 marked the start of Premium MotoSpodes, the start of a legacy. Premium MotoSpodes started as a group of three friends who named themselves Team SA. Although Team SA was just an inside joke, Brandon Houldsworth, team owner and leader, soon escalated the group to a new level, a competitive level. Soon Ed Kozak, team co-owner and co-leader, would come together with Houldsworth and produce a new eSports team to compete on a professional and amateur level in MX Simulator events. We here at PMS have added and lost an assortment of riders and friends along to way to 2015, but that will not stop us from progressing further.
What happened in 2014? We had three riders challenge for points paying positions in the 2014 amateur motocross series, the three riders being team co-owner Ed Kozak, team captain Tanner Rogers, and ex-rider Jon Look who left to be on WBR. Kozak would also find himself in the 250 pro consilation race at Muddy Creek in the 2014 professional motocross series. Even though Kozak fell short of making it to the motos, he did not lose hope. After 2014 outdoors, off season approached as well as more opportunities to put the Spode Nation of the radar. The 2014 MX Simulator of Nations took place in Latvia this year, which held the gp track Kegums in it's borders. Canadian Ed Kozak qualified into the qualification race, but could not show up due to complications. The 2014 FAMmx Cup is where we finally made something of ourselves. Each present rider on the team participated in this five round series. Ryan Wynn put down qualifying times, but could not show up to the gate. Ben Surry found himself in the night program at round one, but he fell short of making it to the main event. Tanner Rogers would miss the round one main event, but would come back with a vengance while he made his way into a professional lites main event through his heat. Ed Kozak would qualify into every night program he intended to race, but never seal the deal for the main events. Brandon Houldsworth would ride alongside Kozak at each race, but could never stay within the top nine in the heats and top four in the lcq due to 8fps. Aside from the FAMmx Cup, Tanner Rogers would also qualify and race in the 2014 MX Simulator Cup/Paris Supercross hybrid event.
Where do we go from here? As the New Year starts, Premium MotoSpodes plan to race in the 2015 Supercross and Motocross series' in MX Simulator. PMS also plans to seek deals with Fox/Foxhead as well as Razer later on this year to boost their racing program. Here at PMS, we hope to see everyone that supports us and we thank you for all your support! Have a good year!
